The prosecution requested preventive<\/a> detention alleging the seriousness of the act and the risk of flight.\n\nAccording to preliminary investigations, Torres Ortiz and Jim\u00e9nez F\u00e9lix were traveling on a Z3000 CG200 motorcycle, black in color, allegedly driven by the latter, when they intercepted a Haitian woman who was walking through the aforementioned area, robbing her of her belongings in the middle of the robbery.\n\n\n

The videos were collected by agents of the Central Investigation Directorate (Dicrim) and the Cyber Police (Dicat).\n\nFollowing the knowledge of the measure, David Jim\u00e9nez F\u00e9lix’s lawyer, Jos\u00e9 Andr\u00e9s Germosen, questioned the court’s decision, assuring that his client does not fit the profile of a habitual offender.\n\nAlso, he maintained that the victim would not have shown interest in continuing with the judicial process.\n\nThe case has caused outrage among citizens of Santiago, because the assault occurred in one of the busiest areas of the city center and during daylight hours, which rekindles concern about criminal acts in public spaces in the city center.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
