In a joint effort to address the issue of plastic in the Ca\u00f1o Seco River, the company BIGENTIK GROUP, represented by architect Nicol\u00e1s Benjam\u00edn and his partner, real estate promoter and developer Jos\u00e9 Manuel, joined forces with the Fundaci\u00f3n Oc\u00e9ano Limpio and the City Hall of Las Terrenas, headed by Mayor Eduardo Esteban Willis.\n\nThe initiative contemplates the installation of several biobarriers at strategic points along the Ca\u00f1o Seco River, with the aim of stopping the large amount of plastics and solid waste that are daily carried by its waters and that end up affecting the municipality&#8217;s beaches.\n\nThis project aims to protect the marine ecosystem, preserve coral reefs, and contribute to the cleaning of the coasts, essential elements for environmental sustainability and the tourism development of Las Terrenas.\n\nThe total investment amounts to 900 thousand pesos, allocated to the placement of biobarriers and the execution of a structured plan for the collection of accumulated plastics.
