SANTO DOMINGO, RD.<\/strong> \u2014 The Dominican Olympic Committee (COD) lifted the suspension that weighed on the Dominican Fencing Federation, a decision that was officially communicated to the new president of the entity, Gilberto Soriano, through a correspondence dated March 23, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You may be interested in:C<\/a><\/strong>olegio San Mart\u00edn de Porres triumphs in district Olympics and receives recognition from the Mayor’s Office of SDE<\/a><\/p>\n\n\nThe communication is signed by the president of the COD, Garibaldy Bautista Lorenzo, and the general secretary Luis Chanlatte, who reported that the Executive Committee unanimously approved the lifting of the sanction that affected the fencing federation.\n\nThe Dominican Fencing Federation had been suspended in 2023, and subsequently intervened and disaffiliated until February 2028.
