<\/p>\n\n\nMiami (USA) (EFE).- Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, world number 1, reached the final of the WTA 1000 Miami after defeating number 2, Kazakh Elena Rybakina, in the semifinals, and is one step away from achieving the prestigious ‘Sunshine Double’.\n\n\n

You may be interested in:<\/strong> DR draws with El Salvador in Concacaf Series match<\/a><\/p>\n\n\nSabalenka defeated Rybakina 6-4 and 6-3 in a match lasting 1 hour and 17 minutes to reach the Miami final for the second consecutive year, where she will face American Coco Gauff, number 4 in the WTA ranking, on Saturday.\n\nSix consecutive games won by the Belarusian – three of them at the rest -, from 4-4 in the first set to 4-0 in the second, certified her victory.\n\nThe semifinal was a rematch of the Indian Wells final, in which Sabalenka saved a match point to lift the trophy, and the Australian Open, where Rybakina took the victory.\n\nThe Belarusian hasn’t lost a match since falling in Australia, and the Indian Wells title opened the possibility of achieving the ‘Sunshine Double’ this Saturday in Miami, a milestone that consists of winning both tournaments consecutively, and that only Steffi Graf (1994 and 1996) Kim Clijsters (2005) Victoria Azarenka (2016) and Iga \u015awi\u0105tek (2022) have achieved at the WTA level.\n\n\n

The Duel Between the Best of the WTA Ranking<\/h2>\n\n\nSabalenka, who hasn’t lost a set yet in Miami, got closer to that goal thanks to the strength shown with her serve this Thursday, where she won 71% of the games with her service, while she barely conceded two breaks.\n\nThe first occurred with a 3-1 lead in the first set score and immediately after breaking the Kazakh for the first time, which evened the match again.\n\nBut the second one in favor of Rybakina did not occur until the score already reflected a 4-0 for Sabalenka, and it was insufficient for the comeback.\n\nRybakina, for her part, allowed 8 break opportunities to Sabalenka, who took advantage of 4, and barely won 52% of the points with her serve.\n\n\n
