act of high strategic value at the <strong>16 de Agosto Military Camp<\/strong>, where the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General <strong>Carlos Antonio Fern\u00e1ndez Onofre<\/strong> (ERD), led the delivery of <strong>new military equipment<\/strong> to the Dominican Republic Army, received by its commander general, Major General <strong>Jorge Iv\u00e1n Camino P\u00e9rez<\/strong> (ERD).<\/p>\n\n\nThe equipment will be assigned to the units of the <strong>First Infantry Brigade<\/strong> \u2014First Battalion Juan Pablo Duarte, Second Battalion Francisco del Rosario S\u00e1nchez, Third Battalion Mat\u00edas Ram\u00f3n Mella\u2014 as well as the <strong>Commandos Battalion<\/strong>, key units in the <strong>national defense and security.<\/strong>\n\nThis delivery is made in compliance with the guidelines of the <strong>President of the Republic,<\/strong> <strong>Luis Rodolfo Abinader Corona,<\/strong> supreme authority of the Armed Forces and the National Police, as part of the process of <strong>modernization and institutional strengthening<\/strong> of the Armed Forces.\n\nThe delivered batch includes <strong>IWI ARAD 5.56 caliber rifles<\/strong>, <strong>Negev 7.62 caliber machine guns<\/strong> intended for patrol and transport platforms, <strong>Barrett and Daniel Defense precision rifles<\/strong>, as well as <strong>more than 11,000 work uniforms<\/strong> made by the <strong>Dominican Military Industry<\/strong>, among other supplies.\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We recommend reading: <\/p>\n\n\nDuring the activity, the <strong>Vice Minister of Defense<\/strong>, as well as the <strong>Inspector General<\/strong> of the Armed Forces, were present, along with members of the <strong>General Staff and senior military commanders<\/strong>, demonstrating the <strong>institutional support<\/strong> for this transformation process.\n\nThis initiative is part of a strategic vision aimed at consolidating more modern and efficient Armed Forces and with greater response capacity, strengthening the operational readiness of the troops and optimizing their performance in different scenarios.\n\nThe incorporation of these systems represents a&nbsp;<strong>significant advance<\/strong>&nbsp;in terms of technology, operational reliability, and adaptability, which allows units to increase
