The agreements between Venezuela and Barbados<\/h3>\n\n\nHe added that in energy matters they also agreed to work on “complementarity for renewable energies”, such as the joint manufacture of solar panels.\n\n“We welcome those energy cooperation opportunities,” said Mottley, recalling the support Venezuela has given since 1999 to the Caribbean islands by providing “energy at a good price.”\n\nRegarding food production, Rodr\u00edguez pointed out that they agreed that Barbados can “produce on Venezuelan lands” both food to supply its country, and to turn the island into a “hub where we can export food to the Caribbean and to Africa”.\n\nIn this regard, he added that the production and export matrices of both countries will be reviewed to seek complementarity in trade.\n\n\n

Tourism, Key Theme<\/h3>\n\n\nRegarding tourism, Rodr\u00edguez pointed out that they seek to increase flights between both countries and integrate new nearby destinations, as well as offer tourist packages from both countries.\n\nHe underscored the need to re-establish the maritime connection, for cargo and passenger transport, as well as the possibility of training Venezuelan tour operators in Barbados.\n\nHe also assured that he will make a special effort to contribute to the formation of the Spanish language in the Caribbean island with the Venezuelan Institute of Cultural Cooperation, given Prime Minister Mottley’s desire to make this language the second official language of that nation, where English predominates.\n\n\u00abThe economic and commercial union between Barbados and Venezuela is being born\u00bb, sentenced the Venezuelan president, who did not offer more details about the agreements reached.\n\n\n
