The seminar, entitled \u201cChallenges of Dominican Education and What is the Necessary Reform<\/strong>\u201d, will be held next Wednesday, May 27th at 9:00 am in the auditorium of the High Technology Building of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo.<\/p>\n\n\nThe organizers reported that during the day, public policies applied to the education sector and the scope of Presidential Decree 309-26 will be analyzed, in relation to the changes they consider necessary to strengthen the national education system.\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\nThe convening entities also indicated that the event will be replicated in different regions of the country during the coming months, through community meetings, activities in educational centers, and digital spaces.\n\nIn that sense, they expressed concern about what they described as attempts to commodify education and questioned proposals that, they claimed, seek to reduce the education system to a market logic.\n\nThey also warned about possible modifications that could affect the autonomy and historical role of the UASD, as well as rights won by teachers and Dominican public education.\n\n\n
