{"id":508299,"date":"2026-05-21T19:57:34","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T23:57:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/government-initiates-project-to-bring-electricity-to-el-montazo-community-in-the-province-of-azua\/"},"modified":"2026-05-21T19:57:34","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T23:57:34","slug":"government-initiates-project-to-bring-electricity-to-el-montazo-community-in-the-province-of-azua","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/government-initiates-project-to-bring-electricity-to-el-montazo-community-in-the-province-of-azua\/","title":{"rendered":"Government initiates project to bring electricity to El Montazo community, in the province of Azua"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Santo Domingo.-<\/strong> The Government, through\u00a0<strong>Edesur Dominicana<\/strong>, began a survey in the section<a href=\"https:\/\/www.presidencia.gob.do\/noticias\/gobierno-inicia-proyecto-para-llevar-electricidad-comunidad-el-montazo-en-la-provincia-de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0<strong>El Montazo<\/strong><\/a>, belonging to the municipal district of Los Fr\u00edos, in the\u00a0<strong>province of Azua<\/strong>, with the purpose of\u00a0<strong>providing electricity<\/strong>\u00a0to that community in the Central mountain range.<\/p>\n\n\nThe process began last April with a visit to the sector by the general manager of Edesur, <strong>Jos\u00e9 Luis Actis.<\/strong> Subsequently, a technical team from the distribution company visited El Montazo on two occasions to evaluate the <strong>technical and commercial feasibility<\/strong> of the project and advance the engineering development for the extension of the electrical grid to that area.\n\nThe steps to finalize the initiative, whose budget exceeds 10 million pesos, include the raising of poles, the placement of the electric wiring and transformers, as well as the installation of meters and the contracting of each user of the service.\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We recommend reading: <a href=\"https:\/\/ab.deultimominuto.net\/nacionales\/edesur-invertira-rd237\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Edesur will invest more than RD$237 million in a new electrical substation in Barahona<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El Montazo is a section of the municipal district of&nbsp;<strong>Los Fr\u00edos,<\/strong>&nbsp;belonging to the municipality of&nbsp;<strong>Padre Las Casas, Azua<\/strong>.
