The funeral mass is scheduled for 2:00 in the afternoon in the Ecumenical hall, while the burial will take place at 3:00 in the afternoon of the same day.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Career in public service<\/h3>\n\n\nBret\u00f3n Taveras developed an extensive career in public administration, with contributions to the strengthening of the agricultural sector and state institutions in the Dominican Republic.\n\nDuring the governments of Doctor Joaqu\u00edn Balaguer, he held various positions, including administrator of the Agricultural Bank, director of the Tobacco Institute, regional agricultural director of the northern zone, director of the Dominican Corporation of State Enterprises (CORDE), and designated Minister of Agriculture.\n\nHis work was recognized in the political and agricultural fields for his contribution to the institutional development of the country.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santiago.- This Thursday, the leader of the Social Christian Reformist Party (PRSC) and a recognized professional in the agricultural sector, Pedro Agust\u00edn Bret\u00f3n Taveras, passed away in the province of Santiago.
