Bolivia<\/strong> registered a new day of massive protests<\/strong> in La Paz that left clashes between protesters and riot police, with tear gas, stones and dynamite cartridges, in an escalation of pressure to demand the resignation of President Rodrigo Paz<\/strong>, as confirmed by the AFP agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>Farmers, workers, miners, transporters, and teachers \u2014many of them with helmets, ponchos, and indigenous flags\u2014 set off from El Alto towards the center of the political capital, where access to the main square remains guarded with fences and hundreds of troops.\u00a0AFP\u00a0<\/em>registered\u00a0at least three detainees during the days.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\nThe city has been isolated for three weeks due to road blockades that have generated shortages of food<\/strong>, fuel<\/strong>, and medicines<\/strong>.
