Barahona<\/strong>.\u2013<\/em> The Senate of the Republic<\/strong>, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture<\/strong>, recognized this Sunday outstanding personalities of art, culture and social life of the provinces of the South of the country, during the closing ceremony of the Enriquillo 2026 Regional Cultural Festival.<\/p>\n\n\nThe activity took place in the Antonio M\u00e9ndez Auditorium of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo<\/strong> (UASD), Barahona campus, and was dedicated to highlighting the cultural identity of the provinces of Bahoruco, Pedernales, Barahona and Independencia, with a special dedication to the legendary artist Casandra Damir\u00f3n.\n\n\n
