Santo Domingo<\/strong>.\u2013 The Regional Directorate of the National Police<\/a><\/strong> in Santo Domingo Norte<\/strong> reported that during the last 48 hours it carried out a series of preventive operations and targeted actions that allowed for the seizure of illegal firearms, the recovery of stolen motorcycles, and the execution of several arrest warrants against individuals linked to criminal acts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the police report, the interventions resulted in the seizure of two illegally carried firearms, the recovery of four motorcycles reported as stolen, and the execution of five arrest warrants issued by the competent authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, 19 people were arrested in flagrante delicto for various violations of the law, while another 25 motorcycles were impounded for violations of traffic regulations and other current provisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the control and prevention actions, the agents also seized 14 sound systems that were generating high levels of noise pollution, responding to complaints made by citizens from different sectors of the municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the operations, communication radios, a scale, several cell phones, narcotic substances, and cash were seized, evidence that is part of ongoing investigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The law enforcement institution also reported that a person who was a fugitive from justice was captured. Likewise, bladed weapons and slot machines operating irregularly were seized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Police reiterated that it will continue to strengthen preventive, surveillance, and crime prosecution efforts throughout the jurisdiction of Santo Domingo Norte, with the purpose of guaranteeing citizen security and preserving public order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The detainees and the seized evidence will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the corresponding legal purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
