Santo Domingo.\u2013<\/strong> The pharmaceutical chain GBC <\/a><\/strong>reached an important milestone in the health sector by becoming the only pharmacy chain in the Dominican Republic<\/strong> to receive the Gold Seal of the Good Practices in Social Security Award (PBPSS 2026)<\/strong>, the highest distinction granted by the General Directorate of Information and Defense of Social Security Affiliates<\/strong> (DIDA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recognition was granted after successfully meeting all the evaluation criteria established by the Evaluation Committee, which highlighted the company’s commitment to service excellence, member orientation, and the humanization of healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The certification, signed by the Director General of DIDA, El\u00edas B\u00e1ez De Los Santos, recognizes GBC in the Humanization of Health Services<\/strong> category, thanks to the implementation of its \u201cQuality and Service\u201d initiative, developed between October 2024 and October 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The proposal focused on strengthening the competencies of its collaborators through training programs aimed at offering more efficient and personalized attention to affiliates. Likewise, it promoted a greater understanding of the Dominican Social Security System and the continuous improvement of service processes in each of its branches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the evaluation jury, the practice presented by GBC stood out for its innovative nature, its positive impact on users, and its contribution to strengthening the Dominican Social Security System. The initiative allowed for the optimization of the affiliate experience from the moment they arrive at the pharmacies, raising quality and service standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this recognition, Farmacia Medicar GBC reaffirms its position as a national benchmark in pharmaceutical service, humanized care, and social commitment. The company highlighted that this achievement is the result of the work and dedication of thousands of collaborators who contribute daily to offering a quality experience to users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the awards ceremony, the institution was represented by Francisca Santana, Marketing Manager, and Rossy Familia, Medical Insurance Manager, who expressed gratitude for the distinction on behalf of the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The selection of the award-winning practices was carried out by a jury composed of prominent figures linked to the health and social security sector, including Dr. Gina Ria\u00f1o Var\u00f3n, Secretary General of the Ibero-American Social Security Organization (OISS); Dr. Jos\u00e9 Antonio Matos, Vice Minister of Quality Assurance for Health Services; Dr. Pedro Luis Castellanos, former superintendent of SISALRIL; specialist Maribel Oleaga, and journalist Dayana Acosta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Good Practices in Social Security Award is an initiative by DIDA aimed at identifying, promoting, and recognizing successful experiences that contribute to the strengthening of the Dominican Social Security System and the well-being of its members. With this distinction, GBC strengthens its commitment to continue being an institution dedicated to the health, guidance, and well-being of Dominicans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
