AZUA.<\/strong>\u2013 The Dominican Agrarian Institute (IAD) <\/strong><\/a>formally launched the work of the National Definitive Titling Plan in the province of Azua, an initiative that will benefit more than 4,000 Agrarian Reform smallholders and will allow for the regularization of approximately 20 million square meters of agricultural land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The launch marks the beginning of technical, social, and legal surveys in the peasant settlements AC-012 El Sisal Ysura, AC-370 Emma Balaguer, AC-483 Sombra Grande, AC-486 Los Tramojos, and the Las Clavellinas sector, as part of President Luis Abinader’s government commitment to guarantee legal security to the families who have worked these lands for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the event, Dar\u00edo Castillo Lugo, general director of the Dominican Agrarian Institute (IAD), highlighted that the start of these works represents a transcendental step to advance in land regularization and guarantee greater legal security to thousands of rural families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe are taking firm steps to settle a historical debt with those who have worked these lands for years. A definitive title not only guarantees legal security; it also opens the doors to credit, investment, family stability, and new development opportunities for rural communities,\u201d he expressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Within the framework of the activity, the general director of the IAD, Dar\u00edo Castillo Lugo, highlighted the recent donation of 29,156.29 square meters of land made by the institution through an agreement signed together with Monsignor Tom\u00e1s Alejo Concepci\u00f3n, bishop of the Diocese of San Juan de la Maguana, intended for the strengthening of educational, community, and human development projects in the province of Azua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The initiative reaffirms the commitment of the Dominican Government and the Dominican Agrarian Institute to promote strategic alliances that contribute to social well-being, the training of new generations, and the integral development of rural communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The National Definitive Titling Plan constitutes one of the main rural transformation initiatives promoted by President Luis Abinader, aimed at guaranteeing the legal security of the beneficiaries of the Agrarian Reform through the regularization and titling of the lands they occupy, thus promoting the productive, social, and economic growth of families in the Dominican countryside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Social survey work for occupations will be carried out from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon.
