Despite attempting to deceive the authorities by using a fake ID, he was identified through <strong>facial recognition<\/strong>, confirming that there was an outstanding arrest warrant for homicide against him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>YOU MAY BE INTERESTED IN: <a href=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/nacionales\/tolentino-denuncia-fuga-de-reo\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"667807\">Tolentino reports escape of inmate accused of murdering disabled taxi driver<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The controversy lies in the fact that <strong>P\u00e9rez Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> was facing two separate proceedings: one for <strong>illegal possession of a firearm<\/strong> (a flagrant offense at the time of his arrest) and the pending case for the <strong>homicide<\/strong> of Linares that occurred in December 2024. The journalist highlighted that, when the victim&#8217;s relatives arrived at the court on Wednesday the 13th, they were met with the bitter surprise that the inmate was no longer in custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Questioning the Public Ministry<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both Tolentino and Mart\u00ednez Brito pointed out that this outcome suggests a serious lack of coordination or, in the worst case, influence peddling.
