Santo Domingo.-<\/strong> Within the framework of the celebration of Corpus Christi,<\/a> parishioner Margarita Herasme called on Dominican society to strengthen values, spirituality, and the practice of Christian teachings as fundamental tools to build better social coexistence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After participating in the Eucharist celebrated at the Church of Las Mercedes in the Colonial Zone, Herasme highlighted the importance of spiritual formation and constant learning of the Word of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As he expressed, each meeting at the church represents an opportunity to strengthen faith and reaffirm the principles that guide the lives of believers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEvery time one comes on Sundays, one leaves strengthened in faith, in belief, and in the word of God,\u201d he\/she affirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parishioner pointed out that today’s society needs a greater promotion of values and an education based on Christian principles, especially among the new generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In that sense, he urged adults to take an active role in transmitting teachings that contribute to the moral and spiritual development of young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe adults are the ones called to continue encouraging values and spirituality,\u201d he expressed, while highlighting the need to keep the practice of the commandments and sacraments alive, considering that they constitute a guide for daily life and for the construction of a more solidary society committed to the common good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Herasme also invited the population to persevere in prayer for the country, for the youth, and for the world, highlighting that faith can become a source of hope in the face of the challenges society faces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We must continue praying for the Dominican Republic, for the world, for the youth, serving by cultivating values and continuing to put the word of God into practice,” he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
