Santiago.- <\/strong>National Police agents<\/a> and representatives of the Public Ministry arrested Anderson Olivo Casimiro, alias \u201cCaco\u201d, accused of murdering 47-year-old Sugeldy Arias, whose body was found in a ravine in the Rafey sector of this city, in an incident that investigations link to an alleged attempted sexual assault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The arrest was executed by members of the Homicide Investigation Department, following intelligence work, surveillance, and evidence collection carried out under judicial order No. 2026-AJ0046213-001.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the preliminary report from the authorities, the crime occurred after midnight, when the victim was with the accused on a public road in Rafey. Investigations indicate that Olivo Casimiro allegedly attempted to sexually assault Arias and, upon meeting resistance, allegedly struck her and inflicted cutting wounds to her head that caused her death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After committing the act, the suspect allegedly moved and hid the woman’s body in a ravine in the area, where it was located by authorities during investigations carried out in the last few hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the process, investigators collected several pieces of evidence that strengthen the file, including a pair of pants and sandals that belonged to the victim and were found at the scene. Likewise, during a raid carried out at the accused’s home, the authorities seized the clothing that he allegedly wore during the commission of the crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Police reported that, during the interrogations, the detainee admitted his participation in the homicide, for which he will be presented before the Public Ministry for the determination of the corresponding legal measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
