Santo Domingo, D.N.<\/em> \u2013 Juan N\u00fa\u00f1ez Nepomuceno was re-elected this Monday as president of the Dominican Baseball Federation (Fedom) for the 2026-2030 term, after receiving unanimous support from the affiliated associations during the elective assembly held at a hotel in the capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n N\u00fa\u00f1ez headed the only list presented, called \u201cTito Pereyra, Work, Transparency and Consolidation\u201d, which obtained 100% of the votes cast by the 31 associations present out of the 32 with the right to vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The federation leader expressed his gratitude for the support received and valued the trust placed in his management at the head of the Dominican amateur baseball governing body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe feel deeply grateful to God and to each of the associations that supported us unanimously today. This vote of confidence commits us to continue working even harder for the development and strengthening of Dominican baseball,\u201d expressed N\u00fa\u00f1ez after being sworn in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Likewise, he highlighted that the support received represents recognition for the work carried out over the last few years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe associations have valued the effort, dedication, and transparency with which we have managed the federation. We will continue to promote initiatives for the benefit of our athletes, coaches, and leaders,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The electoral commission was chaired by William Ozuna, head of the Dominican Weightlifting Federation, accompanied by Edisson Adames, president of the La Vega Sports Journalists Association, as secretary, and Gilberto Garc\u00eda, president of the Dominican Judo Federation, as a member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The organization certified the legality of the process and proceeded with the swearing-in of the new executive committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition to N\u00fa\u00f1ez as president, the Fedom executive committee was composed of Joselito Can\u00f3 Soriano, first vice president; Roberto Antonio S\u00e1nchez Morales, second vice president; Juli\u00e1n Antonio De Le\u00f3n, third vice president; Heriberto Antonio Miranda Then, secretary general; and Arturo Brito, treasurer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Also part of the board are Bruno Inocencio Terrero Medrano, secretary of international affairs; Jos\u00e9 Alfonso Sena G\u00f3mez, secretary of organization; V\u00edctor Enrique V\u00e1squez, secretary of the environment; and Eligna Raquel Rodr\u00edguez Pe\u00f1a de Ortega, secretary for women’s affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The board members will be Sandy Lara P\u00e9rez, M\u00f3nica Cecilia Fern\u00e1ndez Liz, and Eduardo Rodolfo Phipps Cruz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the day, the regional vice presidents Cristian Pimentel (Metropolitan), Jorge Francisco Rafael Moreno (East), Alnor Te\u00f3filo Padilla Taveras (North), Jes\u00fas Antonio Lajara Ros\u00f3 (South), and Manuel Antonio Medina Rodr\u00edguez (Overseas) were also ratified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This will be the second full term for Juan N\u00fa\u00f1ez at the head of Fedom, an institution he has presided over since May 2019, following the passing of leader H\u00e9ctor \u201cTito\u201d Pereyra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Santo Domingo, D.N. \u2013 Juan N\u00fa\u00f1ez Nepomuceno was re-elected this Monday as president of the Dominican Baseball Federation (Fedom) for the 2026-2030 term, after receiving unanimous support from the affiliated associations during the elective assembly held at a hotel in the capital.
