Santo Domingo.\u2013<\/strong>\u00a0The General Directorate of Information and Defense of Social Security Affiliates (DIDA) recognized 31 initiatives developed by 15 entities responsible for risk management and the provision of health services, within the framework of the first edition of the Award for Good Practices in Social Security<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The awarded proposals cover key areas<\/strong> such as the humanization of services, comprehensive patient management, user experience, prevention of irregularities, financial protection, and health promotion, reflecting concrete advances towards a more efficient, transparent, and people-centered system.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the ceremony, the Director General of DIDA, El\u00edas B\u00e1ez,<\/strong> highlighted that these awards constitute an instrument to promote improvements<\/strong> in the quality of services and strengthen the protection of affiliates. \u201cDefending the rights of affiliates also implies promoting quality, driving continuous improvements, and recognizing those who are generating positive changes in the system,\u201d<\/em> he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Main recognitions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Among the entities awarded with the Gold Seal<\/strong> are the Cedisa Specialized Diagnostic Center, M\u00e9dico Express, the Dr. Ney Arias Lora Traumatological Teaching University Hospital, the Lic. Wanda Cid Santos First Level Care Center, the Metropolitan Hospital of Santiago (HOMS), the Dr. Paulino Reyes Maternal and Child Medical Specialties Hospital (HEMMI), Farmacia GBC, ARS Dr. Yunen, and the San Pablo Ap\u00f3stol Parish Medical Dispensary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Likewise, Silver and Bronze Seals<\/strong> were awarded, along with special mentions, to public and private health institutions<\/strong> that demonstrated significant contributions in innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement<\/strong> of services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rigorous evaluation process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The awards were granted after a strict evaluation process<\/strong> of the submitted initiatives, carried out in a first phase by qualified technical personnel<\/strong> from DIDA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 This process was reinforced by the participation of an evaluation jury composed of renowned personalities with extensive experience in social security matters<\/strong> and in the national and international<\/strong> healthcare system, guaranteeing criteria of objectivity, transparency, and technical rigor<\/strong> in the selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recognition of trajectories and advances in pensions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The ceremony included a tribute to personalities and institutions for their contributions to the development of Dominican social security.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Among those recognized are former president Hip\u00f3lito Mej\u00eda<\/strong>; former senator Iv\u00e1n Rond\u00f3n;<\/strong> doctors F\u00e9lix Antonio Cruz Jimini\u00e1n and Jos\u00e9 Joaqu\u00edn Puello Herrera<\/strong>; journalist Altagracia Ortiz<\/strong>; economist Arismendy D\u00edaz Santana<\/strong>, and AFP Crecer, the latter highlighting innovative practices aimed at strengthening pension education and eliminating barriers and costs for affiliates, facilitating greater access to the benefits of the pension system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The institution reported that in future editions, initiatives from AFPs will be formally incorporated into the award categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vigilance, proximity and permanent defense<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 At the conclusion of his speech, the DIDA general director reaffirmed the institutional commitment to the active defense of the affiliates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe will continue 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, guiding, caring for, and defending our members against any violation of their rights. Because that is our role. That is what we were created for by law. And we take it on with responsibility, but also with character,\u201d<\/em> added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Likewise, he added, that, \u201cif at any moment someone thinks that an affiliate is alone when facing a difficulty, a denial, or a barrier, do not be mistaken. Because DIDA arrives.
