It was signed by <strong>Claudio Caama\u00f1o V\u00e9lez<\/strong>, director of the TNR, and <strong>Wilfredo Cabrera,<\/strong> president of Confenagro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the activity, Caama\u00f1o V\u00e9lez highlighted that the agreement will contribute to the <strong>modernization of the Dominican countryside<\/strong> through coordinated actions of training, technical assistance, and knowledge transfer. He indicated that these initiatives will allow for strengthening the capabilities of agricultural producers and improving the performance of their productive units. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Likewise, he explained that the adoption of innovative technologies will help increase agricultural productivity, reduce environmental impacts, and strengthen <strong>national food security.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We recommend reading:<a href=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/nacionales\/tnr-y-confenagro\/\">TNR and Confenagro sign agreement to strengthen the agricultural sector<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Wilfredo Cabrera, president of Confenagro, described the event as important for the Dominican agricultural sector, since the signing of this alliance is a firm step towards a <strong>more modern, efficient and prepared<\/strong> agriculture to face the challenges of the present and the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cThis agreement will allow thousands of producers to have access to training, technical assistance, information, and opportunities to incorporate technologies that increase the productivity of their farms and improve their competitiveness,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the established commitments, the TNR will offer technical support to producers linked to Confenagro to facilitate the implementation of <strong>more efficient irrigation technologies.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the planned initiatives is the evaluation of support for innovation projects through the <strong>Bagri-Riego<\/strong> program and the subsidies aimed at encouraging the adoption of high-tech irrigation systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, <strong>Confenagro<\/strong> will announce through its channels, within the framework of this agreement, to the beneficiary communities and agricultural producers, the training programs and general information that will be carried out <strong>in conjunction with the TNR and Bagri-Riego,<\/strong> such as the efficient and rational use of water through the application of innovative irrigation system technologies, which contribute to the <strong>development and strengthening<\/strong> of the agricultural producer sector in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Present at the signing of the agreement, for Confenagro were: <strong>Eric Rivero<\/strong>, vice president of this institution and agricultural advisor to the Executive Branch; <strong>Franiel Genao,<\/strong> executive director, and <strong>Carlos Mena,<\/strong> secretary, while for the TNR: <strong>Eriberto Tejada<\/strong>, head of the Extension and Training Division; <strong>Jorge Soto,<\/strong> head of Operations;
