Valverde<\/strong>.\u2013 The Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Pe\u00f1a, together with the Executive Director of the National Health Service (SNS), Dr. Julio C\u00e9sar Landr\u00f3n, delivered important health infrastructure works this Friday in the Valverde province, as part of the Government’s efforts to continue strengthening the Public Health Network and bring specialized services closer to the population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The authorities delivered the expansion of the Emergency area of the Dr. Jos\u00e9 Francisco Pe\u00f1a G\u00f3mez Regional Maternal and Child Hospital and the new Diabetic Foot Unit of the Ing. Luis L. Bogaert Regional Hospital, which will directly impact an estimated population of 86,659 inhabitants<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, the vice president highlighted that strengthening the healthcare system remains a priority for President Luis Abinader’s government, through investments that allow for expanding care capacity and responding more effectively to the needs of the communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith these works, we are taking an important step to continue guaranteeing more dignified, more humane, and timely medical care for Dominican families,\u201d expressed Pe\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The government representative stated that each new healthcare infrastructure represents an opportunity to bring essential services closer to the people, reduce response times, and offer better care conditions for patients and medical staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, the executive director of the SNS, Dr. Julio C\u00e9sar Landr\u00f3n, highlighted that the works are part of the transformation process that the Public Health Network is undergoing throughout the national territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investments in infrastructure and equipment<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Diabetic Foot Unit of the Ing. Luis L. Bogaert Regional Hospital was built with an investment of RD$24,676,572.46 in infrastructure and RD$4,461,144.28 in equipment, for a total amount of RD$29,137,716.74.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The modern area features a reception, waiting room, medical offices, treatment areas, minor surgery, recovery room, nursing station, and specialized storage, allowing for more comprehensive care for patients requiring follow-up and specialized treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, the expansion of the Emergency area of the Dr. Jos\u00e9 Francisco Pe\u00f1a G\u00f3mez Regional Maternal and Child Hospital required an investment of RD$52,391,632.28 in infrastructure and RD$5,814,804.01 in equipment, for a total investment of RD$58,206,436.30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new infrastructure incorporates pediatric and women’s observation areas, a triage office, pharmacy, trauma shock unit, X-rays, and complementary spaces that strengthen the center’s response capacity in emergency situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The authorities highlighted that these interventions are part of the modernization process of the Public Health Network promoted by the Dominican Government to guarantee more accessible services, strengthen specialized care, and improve the quality of life for families throughout the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
