The Directorate of Analysis and Public Policies of the Judiciary shall be responsible for evaluating the observations received and recommending any modifications it deems appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A closer and more transparent justice<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Judiciary explained that Open Justice is a governance model based on four fundamental principles: transparency, citizen participation, accountability, and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the implementation of this policy, the institution seeks to strengthen the relationship between the courts and society, placing the citizen at the center of judicial management and promoting a justice system that is more accessible, understandable, and closer to the needs of the population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the stated objectives are increasing public trust in the judicial system, improving access to justice for the most vulnerable sectors, fostering conflict prevention, and promoting alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, such as mediation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Likewise, the initiative contemplates the strategic use of data generated by the courts to contribute to the design of preventive public policies and strengthen evidence-based decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The authorities highlighted that Open Justice constitutes a process of continuous improvement aimed at humanizing judicial services, eliminating access barriers, and strengthening institutional legitimacy through greater interaction with the citizenry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo. \u2013 The Judiciary of the Dominican Republic announced the opening of a public consultation process to receive observations and proposals from citizens regarding the new Open Justice Policy, an initiative aimed at strengthening transparency, citizen participation, and accountability within the judicial system.
