{"id":510760,"date":"2026-06-09T18:21:23","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T22:21:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/infotep-sponsors-masterclass-on-the-magic-of-hospitality-service\/"},"modified":"2026-06-09T18:21:23","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T22:21:23","slug":"infotep-sponsors-masterclass-on-the-magic-of-hospitality-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/dominican-news\/infotep-sponsors-masterclass-on-the-magic-of-hospitality-service\/","title":{"rendered":"Infotep sponsors masterclass on the magic of hospitality service"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>La Altagracia.-\u00a0<\/strong> Two renowned chefs from the <strong>Balearic Islands<\/strong> will offer the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.presidencia.gob.do\/noticias\/infotep-auspicia-masterclass-sobre-la-magia-del-servicio-de-hospitalidad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">masterclass<\/a> <strong>\u201cThe magic of hospitality service\u201d,<\/strong> at the School of Hospitality, Gastronomy and Pastry of the <strong>National Institute for Technical Professional Training<\/strong> (Infotep), in Hig\u00fcey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <em>masterclass<\/em> will be taught this <strong>Thursday the 11th at 9:00 a.m.,<\/strong> by executive chefs <strong>Francisco Alabat,<\/strong> professor at the Escola d&#8217;Hoteleria de les Illes Balears, and <strong>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Calonge<\/strong>, a renowned Spanish culinary trainer, who also demonstrated techniques on different applications of siphon foam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This activity is carried out as part of the visit to the country by a delegation from the <strong>School of Hospitality of the Balearic Islands<\/strong> (EHIB), Spain, with the purpose of strengthening <strong>academic cooperation and knowledge exchange<\/strong> in the areas of hospitality, gastronomy, and tourism services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the chefs, Alabat and Calonge, the delegation is made up of <strong>Mar\u00eda Llompart Bibiloni<\/strong>, managing director of the EHIB; <strong>Mar\u00eda Magdalena Vicens<\/strong>, head of Accommodation, and <strong>Laura Margarita Oliver Guimer\u00e1<\/strong>, deputy director of the Spanish training institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We recommend reading: <a href=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/nacionales\/camara-de-cuentasinfotepinap\/\">Chamber of Accounts certifies 86 collaborators in training programs together with INAP and INFOTEP<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The visit is carried out within the framework of the <strong>Comprehensive Tourism and Hotel Training Program,<\/strong> the result of the <strong>strategic alliance<\/strong> between Infotep, the Government of the Balearic Islands, the Association of International Investors (Inverotel), and the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of their work agenda, the delegation will conduct technical tours, academic exchange meetings, and cooperation activities with Infotep specialists. In addition, they will participate in the <strong>certification of Dominican teachers<\/strong> trained at the EHIB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Highly recognized chefs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Francisco Alabat, a hospitality and cocktail professional, is the head of the Restaurant Department at the Escuela d&#8217;Hoteleria de les Illes Balears, one of the most recognized institutions for <strong>hotel and gastronomic training in the Balearic Islands.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He\/She is part of the teaching staff for specialized programs in <strong>restaurant business direction and management,<\/strong> where he\/she imparts knowledge related to restaurant management, food and beverage services, and professional training in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Calonge is a renowned executive chef. He stands out mainly for his extensive <strong>educational work<\/strong> and his experience in the field of <strong>professional cooking<\/strong>.
