With 95.9% of the ballots counted, left-wing candidate Roberto S\u00e1nchez maintains a slight lead over Keiko Fujimori, although the difference has narrowed to just 19,894 votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the most recent report from the National Office of Electoral Processes, S\u00e1nchez has accumulated 8,910,295 votes, equivalent to 50.056% of the valid ballots, while Fujimori has 8,890,401 votes, for 49.944%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The difference between both candidates is barely 0.112 percentage points, with around 1.1 million votes still to be processed, corresponding to pending and observed records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the remaining votes, those cast by Peruvians abroad stand out.
