SANTO DOMINGO, DR.- The Mauricio B\u00e1ez club routed the San Carlos team on Tuesday, 71-58, to take away their undefeated record in their fourth outing in the 40th Women’s Superior Basketball Tournament (TBSF Distrito 2026), at the Ensanche Luper\u00f3n club sports center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cesarina Capell\u00e1n led the offensive attack with 20 points and the support of Gloribel Rodr\u00edguez, who had 16 points, five rebounds and five assists, F\u00e1tima Marte nine, Rudelfy De Jes\u00fas managed to score seven more with 11 rebounds, and G\u00e9nesis Evangelista added seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the Sancarle\u00f1as, Melissa Cabral scored 17 points with six rebounds, Jennifer Jim\u00e9nez contributed 12 baskets, seven rebounds and dished out another six, and Yadira Marte nine and 10 rebounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite the setback, San Carlos leads the standings with a 3-1 record, followed by Mauricio B\u00e1ez (2-1), San L\u00e1zaro (1-2), and La Ci\u00e9naga (1-3), competing for the Seaboard \u201cClean Energy\u201d Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For its part, the San L\u00e1zaro club got on the board by obtaining its first victory at the expense of La Ci\u00e9naga, 77-51, in the clash held at the Ensanche Luper\u00f3n indoor court. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the Lazare\u00f1as, Laura D\u00edaz scored 16 points and debutant Vanessa Batista had a double-double of 13 points plus 12 rebounds and five assists, and Dallysshya Moreno added 12 points and eight rebounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the girls from La Ci\u00e9naga, Yeliandra Romero and Yamell Abreu scored 12 each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The contest is dedicated to Do\u00f1a Milagros Ortiz Bosch, former Vice President of the Republic and currently the General Director of the General Directorate of Ethics and Government Integrity (DIGEIG), as well as advisor to the Executive Branch on Ethics, Transparency and Anti-Corruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The TBSF District 2026 is organized by the National District Basketball Association (Abadina), presided over by Edwin Castillo (Tatico), in conjunction with congresswoman Melina S\u00e1nchez, who is the president of the Organizing Committee, and Carlos Ger\u00f3nimo is the technical director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
