<\/a>The secret information was sent by Qatari negotiators,<\/strong> who were in Tehran to find a point of contact<\/strong> between Washington’s demands and the Shiite regime’s claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 29<\/strong>, Donald Trump had tweaked<\/strong> a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that had been agreed upon<\/strong> between the representatives of the United States and Iran with the mediation<\/strong> of Pakistan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>The Republican president demanded that Mojtaba Khamenei<\/strong>\u2014the Iranian supreme leader\u2014eliminate his nuclear program<\/strong>, dismantle his ballistic missile manufacturing system, and suspend financial and military aid<\/strong> to the terrorist groups Hezbollah and the Houthis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twelve days later,<\/strong> after a succession of military incidents in Lebanon and the Persian Gulf, Trump broke an <\/strong>impasse <\/strong><\/em>articulated by Iran<\/strong> and anticipated that he was returning to the war against the Iranian regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
