The economic pro-growth and international crisis mitigation plan presented by the government today redefines the advance payment of Income Tax (ISR) for micro-enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The plan contemplates the repeal of advance payments for micro-enterprises, which represent 78% of the total number of companies that reported ISR in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While small businesses will switch to paying ISR as individuals, that is, with 3 payments per year instead of 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The elimination of advances and Taxes on Assets for the Agricultural Sector is also contemplated and it is given the status of law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These, along with other measures, were presented by the Minister of Finance and Economy, Mag\u00edn Diaz, as part of the plan to guarantee the Government’s fiscal sustainability in the face of the current crisis scenario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Anti-Crisis Plan for sustainability and the protection of the population against the global crisis seeks to strengthen the sustainability of public finances, preserve macroeconomic stability, and ensure the necessary resources to sustain public investment, essential services, and social protection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The official stated that \u201cThe Dominican Republic has shown that it can grow more than the region. The challenge now is to protect what has been built, strengthen our stability, and guarantee opportunities for future generations\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
