Among the measures included in the Anti-Crisis Plan that the Government will send to the National Congress is the creation of a new income tax (ISR) bracket for individuals with monthly incomes exceeding RD$400,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The proposal establishes a 27% rate for salaries exceeding that amount, as part of a strategy aimed at increasing state revenue and addressing the effects of the international economic crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the project presented by the economic authorities, the measure would be part of a set of fiscal reforms that also includes tax amnesty, higher deductions for educational expenses, elimination of advance payments for micro-enterprises, and new actions to combat tax evasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative must be known and debated by the National Congress before any eventual approval and implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
