I had cancer in my head and it no longer exists. I am happy for my definitive cure,\u201d expressed the Brazilian president during an official activity held in Brasilia.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lula, 80, received his last radiotherapy session at the Sirio-Liban\u00e9s Hospital in Brasilia, where he had been treated since the end of May. The procedure was recommended by his medical team as a complementary measure to a surgery performed in April to reduce the risk of the disease reappearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We recommend reading: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The head of state underwent surgery on April 24 to remove a cancerous lesion located on the scalp. Doctors determined it was a basal cell carcinoma, one of the most common and least serious types of skin cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite the treatment, Lula kept his official agenda unchanged during the three weeks that the radiotherapy lasted, participating in government activities and public engagements as usual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The president&#8217;s health has taken on special relevance because he aspires to seek a fourth presidential term in Brazil&#8217;s general elections scheduled for next October 4th. His physical condition and age have become topics of public attention in the context of the electoral campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lula had already faced significant health problems previously.
