Santiago<\/strong>.- President Luis Abinader<\/strong> delivered this Friday the general renovation<\/strong> and the new Emergency area of the Dr. Antonio Trueba Monte Adentro Peripheral Hospital<\/strong>, in Santiago, for the strengthening<\/strong> of the Public Health Services Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The infrastructure, which transitions from deterioration to modernity, features, inside, new and modern medical equipment<\/strong> that will allow for humanizing and dignifying<\/strong> the services for the community of Monte Adentro and surrounding areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c<\/em>From now on, there will be better health in Monte Adentro\u201d,<\/em>\u00a0said the head of State, also reporting that this involves the renovation of health center number 113, out of the 200 second and third-level care centers in the national territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, the executive director of the National Health Service<\/strong> (SNS<\/a>), Julio Landr\u00f3n,<\/strong> highlighted that this work represents a significant step in strengthening the hospital network of Santiago<\/strong> and reaffirms the Government’s commitment to the health of the population. \u201cToday, this hospital has everything a health center needs to safeguard lives,\u201d<\/em> he pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, he added that, in the first five months of this year, the Public Health Network has provided more than 20 million services<\/strong> to all Dominicans and highlighted the salary increase<\/strong> that has been given to the health sector in these six years of Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding primary healthcare centers, he said that more than 1,700<\/strong> were abandoned and to date more than 1,000<\/strong> have been renovated, with the goal of reaching all of them by 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Emergency department and renovation of Dr. Antonio Trueba Hospital<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the intervention of this hospital center, a new Emergency area<\/strong> was built with a waiting room, registration, triage office, treatment area, nebulization room, three observation beds, and a resuscitation bay, strengthening the response capacity for emergency situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The renovated areas include an operating room, a neonatal unit equipped with three cribs and two incubators, a delivery room, pre-surgical and post-surgical areas, sterilization, four medical offices, laboratories, sample collection, a dentistry module, a vaccination area, X-rays, sonography, two nursing stations, a laundry room, a kitchen, and general service areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, access to the morgue was enabled, a solid waste shed, perimeter fence, protective grating, and septic tank were built, a medium-voltage system was installed, and the existing sanitary system was refurbished.
