Jerusalem.- <\/strong>At least two people were killed and four others were injured this Sunday in an Israeli attack on an area in the southern suburbs of Beirut, known as the Dahye, amid negotiations between the United States and Iran to reach a peace agreement whose signing was announced as imminent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported the death of two people and four injured, whom it did not identify, in an Israeli airstrike against the municipality of Al Ghobeiry, in the Mount Lebanon province, on the same day that a Qatari delegation traveled to Tehran to push for the signing of the agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The attack on the apartment in Al Ghobeiry left, according to a new count, two martyrs and four wounded,” the NNA briefly reported in a second statement regarding the preliminary casualty count of the Israeli attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Israeli army reported this Sunday that it had attacked targets of the Shiite group Hezbollah in the Dahye, according to a statement released by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attack following the launch of three projectiles from Lebanon<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The bombing of the Dahye, a suburb on the outskirts of the Lebanese capital considered a Hezbollah stronghold, comes after the Israeli Army reported today that three projectiles launched from Lebanon had fallen in Israeli communities near the border and ordered the evacuation of more than ten towns in southern Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After issuing these evacuation orders this morning, Israel attacked the house of the former mayor of Douei<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This crossfire is taking place in parallel to the arrival of a Qatari delegation in the Iranian capital, Tehran, to promote the peace agreement between Iran and the US, the signing of which seems imminent, according to Iranian media reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qatar is, along with Pakistan, one of the mediators between Iran and the United States to reach a peace agreement, which all indications suggest will be signed soon, although the specific date is unknown and whether it will include the cessation of Israel’s attacks against Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
