{"id":511431,"date":"2026-06-16T17:34:13","date_gmt":"2026-06-16T21:34:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/antonio-estevez-remains-a-fugitive-for-alleged-fraud-and-forgery\/"},"modified":"2026-06-16T17:34:13","modified_gmt":"2026-06-16T21:34:13","slug":"antonio-estevez-remains-a-fugitive-for-alleged-fraud-and-forgery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/antonio-estevez-remains-a-fugitive-for-alleged-fraud-and-forgery\/","title":{"rendered":"Antonio Est\u00e9vez remains a fugitive for alleged fraud and forgery"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Santo Domingo.\u2013 <\/strong>Antonio Est\u00e9vez, 58, remains a fugitive from Dominican justice, despite the existence of a judicial arrest warrant requested by the Public Prosecutor&#8217;s Office, which is investigating him for alleged forgery of documents, use of forged documents, criminal conspiracy, and fraud, to the detriment of Luis Ernesto Yi Garc\u00eda and Juan Jos\u00e9 Yi Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The arrest request was received digitally by the Coordination of the Instruction Courts on December 10, 2025, at 12:00 noon, through a petition signed by prosecutor Hamlet Andr\u00e9s Paulino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the file, the process originated from Complaint Report No. 13001-2025-009038, filed on May 29, 2025. Subsequently, on June 2, 2025, a complaint with constitution as a civil party was presented by the complainants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the investigations, the Public Prosecutor&#8217;s Office incorporated expert report D-0281-2025, dated August 25, 2025, which is among the evidentiary elements supporting the arrest request against Est\u00e9vez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We recommend reading:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After evaluating the request, the judge in charge of the case determined that it falls within the investigation conducted by the prosecuting body and considered the issuance of the arrest warrant against the defendant to be appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Antonio Est\u00e9vez is being investigated for alleged violations of articles 147, 150, and 151 of the Dominican Penal Code, related to forgery and the use of forged documents; articles 265 and 266, regarding criminal association; and article 405, which defines the crime of fraud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So far, the authorities have not offered details regarding the whereabouts of the 58-year-old man, who continues to be sought so that he may answer to justice for the acts attributed to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the existence of an arrest warrant and the development of a criminal investigation do not constitute a declaration of guilt, as the courts are responsible for determining their eventual liability in accordance with due process of law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo.\u2013 Antonio Est\u00e9vez, 58, remains a fugitive from Dominican justice, despite the existence of a judicial arrest warrant requested by the Public Prosecutor&#8217;s Office, which is investigating him for alleged forgery of documents, use of forged documents, criminal conspiracy, and fraud, to the detriment of Luis Ernesto Yi Garc\u00eda and Juan Jos\u00e9 Yi Garc\u00eda.
