{"id":511586,"date":"2026-06-17T21:48:53","date_gmt":"2026-06-18T01:48:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/uasd-begins-vote-count-official-results-will-be-known-this-thursday\/"},"modified":"2026-06-17T21:48:53","modified_gmt":"2026-06-18T01:48:53","slug":"uasd-begins-vote-count-official-results-will-be-known-this-thursday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/uasd-begins-vote-count-official-results-will-be-known-this-thursday\/","title":{"rendered":"UASD begins vote count; official results will be known this Thursday"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Santo Domingo<\/strong>. \u2013 The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uasd.edu.do\/comision-electoral\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Central Electoral Commission of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo<\/a><\/strong> (UASD) began this Wednesday night the process of receiving and validating the minutes corresponding to the elections to choose the rector and other academic authorities of the institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the polls closed at 8:00 p.m., members of the electoral body began receiving the documentation sent from the faculties, campuses, and university centers distributed throughout the national territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The general director of <strong>UASD Communications<\/strong>, <strong>Roberto Tejada,<\/strong> explained that the official results cannot be announced during the same night due to the complexity of the process and the need to validate each of the received records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We recommend reading: <a href=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/nacionales\/elecciones-de-la-uasd\/\">Voters anticipate winner in UASD elections even though official results will be known tomorrow<\/a><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<strong>I cannot give you a time, because there are 31 provinces and we have to wait for all the minutes to arrive and be validated in order to offer the official results<\/strong>\u201d, stated Tejada when approached by the media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He indicated that the <strong>Central Electoral Commission<\/strong> will process the information as it arrives from the various polling stations, the preliminary data of which will be displayed on a screen installed in front of the <strong>Pedro Mir Library<\/strong>, where the electoral commission operates, to keep the university community and the media informed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although the candidates&#8217; teams manage their own projections based on reports from their delegates, the commission reiterated that the only valid results will be those officially issued once the verification and consolidation process of the records is concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tejada also highlighted that the day proceeded in an orderly manner and without significant incidents, describing the process as a new demonstration of democratic exercise within the state academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More than 3,100 voters, including faculty, students, staff, and assistant professors, were called to participate in the elections to choose the authorities who will lead the Primada de Am\u00e9rica during the next academic period.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo. \u2013 The Central Electoral Commission of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) began this Wednesday night the process of receiving and validating the minutes corresponding to the elections to choose the rector and other academic authorities of the institution.
