The designation was announced by Garc\u00eda himself and has the backing of the president of the Dominican Basketball Federation (Fedombal), Rafael Uribe, as well as the general manager of the national team, Junior P\u00e1ez (Jipy).<\/p>n”\n\n“n
B\u00e1ez will join the coaching staff that will accompany the Dominican team in the matches against the United States and Nicaragua, corresponding to the third qualifying window. Both matches will be held in Santo Domingo on July 3rd and 6th, respectively, at 8:00 p.m., at the Professor Virgilio Travieso Soto \u201cBanReservas\u201d Arena.<\/p>n”\n\n“n
The coaching staff will also be composed of David D\u00edaz, Abraham Disla, and the Argentine Sergio Jim\u00e9nez as assistants. Carlos De Le\u00f3n will serve as Director of Operations, Adenhaweer D\u00edaz (Rilling) will be the kinesiologist, Germ\u00e1n Andr\u00edn will be in charge of physical preparation, and Dr. Gewill Acosta will be the team physician.<\/p>n”\n\n“n
B\u00e1ez’s foray into coaching is not new. The former player managed the Leones de Santo Domingo in the LNB last season, an experience that strengthened his credentials as a coach.<\/p>n”\n\n“n
The Dominican national team’s training sessions will begin next Tuesday, June 23rd, at 7:00 PM at the Professor Virgilio Travieso Soto Arena, where 36 players have been summoned to begin preparations.<\/p>n”\n\n“n
The Dominican Republic arrives at this window with a 3-1 record, tied at the top of Group A with the United States. Mexico occupies third place with a 2-2 mark, while Nicaragua has yet to secure any victories (0-4).
