Santo Domingo<\/strong>.\u2013 The executive director of the National Health Service (SNS), Dr. Julio Landr\u00f3n, swore in Dr. Yakaira Garc\u00eda Peralta<\/strong> as the new director of the Dra. Evangelina Rodr\u00edguez Maternal Hospital, known as the Women’s Hospital, during a ceremony held at the institution’s headquarters.<\/p>n”\n\n“n

The director of the SNS valued Dr. Garc\u00eda Peralta’s solid academic background, extensive experience in healthcare management, and commitment to strengthening health services, ensuring that her leadership will contribute to <\/a>continuing to raise the quality of maternal and neonatal care offered by the hospital center.<\/p>n”\n\n“n

Dr. Yakaira Garc\u00eda Peralta is a graduate of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), where she obtained her degree as a Doctor of Medicine. Subsequently, she completed a specialty in Health Management and Social Security and a Master’s degree in Senior Management. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Hospital Management and Health at the University of Murcia, Spain, strengthening her skills with an international vision of healthcare administration.<\/p>n”\n\n“n

Until her appointment, she served as director of the Dr. Jos\u00e9 Manuel Rodr\u00edguez Jim\u00e9nez Children’s Hospital, where she promoted initiatives focused on quality of care, patient safety, and administrative efficiency, consolidating that center as a national benchmark in specialized pediatric care.<\/p>n”\n\n“n

Garc\u00eda Peralta has an outstanding professional career that began in the area of medical emergencies and evolved into supervisory and auditing roles. Her experience in public management led her to hold leadership positions at the National Council for Population and Family (CONAPOFA), where she served as technical director and deputy director, contributing to the development of public policies aimed at the well-being of the population.<\/p>n”\n\n“n
