Santo Domingo<\/strong>.\u2013 The businessman and CEO of Alofoke Media Group, Santiago Mat\u00edas, announced that he will make an aircraft available to transport donations from the Dominican Republic to Venezuela, following the 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes that have left at least 164 dead, more than a thousand injured, and significant material damage.<\/p>n”\n\n“n

The initiative was announced during a phone call to the radio program Jessica en Punto, where Mat\u00edas informed that he will work in conjunction with the Venezuelan communicator Jessica Pereira and the company Panorama Jets to channel humanitarian aid to the affected areas.<\/p>n”\n\n“n

\u201cWe have a plane available to take essential supplies there, to Venezuela. I am calling on you publicly to make a call where you deem appropriate and to make a list of basic items that are needed at this stage of this tragedy<\/strong>\u201d, Mat\u00edas expressed during the intervention.<\/p>n”\n\n“n

For his part, Pereira indicated that he is already coordinating with individuals and organizations in Venezuela to identify the most urgent needs and ensure that donations reach those who need them most.<\/p>n”\n\n“n

The proposal seeks to mobilize the Dominican community and Venezuelans residing in the country to collect food, medicine, drinking water, hygiene products, and other essential items intended for the victims of the natural disaster.<\/p>n”\n\n“n

The tragedy has generated a wide wave of solidarity both inside and outside of Venezuela. Among the Venezuelans living in the Dominican Republic who have publicly expressed their sorrow for the situation are communicators B\u00e1rbara Plaza, Ana Carmen Le\u00f3n, and Mar\u00eda Luisa Molina, as well as actress Beba Rojas, singer Lemar, and models Oriana Falla and G\u00e9nesis Escorihuela.<\/p>n”\n\n“n

Santiago Mat\u00edas’ initiative joins other support efforts announced from the Dominican Republic, including the deployment of specialized search and rescue teams by the Dominican Government to assist with emergency efforts in Venezuelan territory.<\/p>n”","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
