Santo Domingo.-<\/strong> A well-known criminal who was actively sought under an arrest warrant for his alleged participation in several armed robberies died after engaging in a shootout with members of the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM)<\/a> during an operation carried out on the San Isidro Highway, Santo Domingo Este municipality.<\/p>n”\n\n“n

It is Reymond Taveraz Ortega, alias \u201cFlaco Prenda\u201d, who was wounded by gunfire after attacking a patrol composed of agents from the investigation divisions (DICRIM) of West Santo Domingo (Las Caobas) and East Santo Domingo (Eastern Zone) with a revolver he was carrying illegally.<\/p>n”\n\n“n

The incident occurred near some cabins located on the aforementioned road, where the agents were carrying out work to locate him.<\/p>n”\n\n“n

According to the preliminary report, upon noticing the police presence, \u201cFlaco Prenda\u201d opened fire on the officers, who were forced to repel the aggression. After being wounded, he was taken to the Dr. Dar\u00edo Contreras Traumatology Hospital, where he subsequently died while receiving medical attention.<\/p>n”\n\n“n

Against “Flaco Prenda” there was an arrest warrant No. 2026-AJ0046931 for his alleged participation in the armed robbery of belongings from several people in incidents that occurred in the Caballona, Manoguayabo, and Los Alcarrizos sectors.<\/p>n”\n\n“n
