{"id":512803,"date":"2026-06-30T19:58:28","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T23:58:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/senate-returns-to-the-dgii-the-collection-of-pension-fund-contributions-for-construction-workers\/"},"modified":"2026-06-30T19:58:28","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T23:58:28","slug":"senate-returns-to-the-dgii-the-collection-of-pension-fund-contributions-for-construction-workers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/senate-returns-to-the-dgii-the-collection-of-pension-fund-contributions-for-construction-workers\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Senate returns to the DGII the collection of pension fund contributions for construction workers&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Santo Domingo.-<\/strong> The Senate approved this Tuesday, in two consecutive readings and as a matter of urgency, the bill that repeals article 61 of <strong>Law 30-26<\/strong> on Pro-Economic Growth, Fiscal Simplification and International Crisis Mitigation Measures, which restores the validity of article 4 of <strong>Law 6-86<\/strong>, of March 4, 1986.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative, presented by deputies Rafael Castillo, Pedro Julio Alc\u00e1ntara and Amado D\u00edaz, returns to the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) the authority to collect the funds corresponding to the Pension and Retirement Fund for Construction Workers (Fopetcons).<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Article 61 of Law 30-26 established that the <strong>Social Security Treasury (TSS)<\/strong> would assume the collection of 1% of the value of all public and private works, as well as 1% of the salary of construction sector workers, to finance Fopetcons.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the repeal of that article, that provision is eliminated and the scheme provided for in Law 6-86 is maintained, which assigns the collection of those resources to the DGII and the administration of the pensions to the <strong>Technical Council for the Administration and Control of Construction Area Funds<\/strong>.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Law 30-26, which contains the package of measures to address the effects of the international crisis, was enacted by President <strong>Luis Abinader<\/strong> on June 18 as part of the strategy to strengthen public finances.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We recommend reading: <a href=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/nacionales\/senado-aprueba-cambios-ley-225-20\/\">Senate approves Chamber of Deputies&#8217;
