Ram\u00f3n Alberto Cabral, Chairman of the Board of Directors of COOPMAIM\u00d3N, the cooperative presented its Institutional Report for the 2025 fiscal year, which reflected sustained growth in its main financial indicators and a strengthening of its social impact.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the data presented during the Assembly, COOPMAIM\u00d3N&#8217;s total assets reached RD$39.355 billion at the close of 2025, representing a 23% growth compared to the previous year. The credit portfolio exceeded RD$31.751 billion, while institutional equity rose to RD$24.180 billion, for a growth of 25%.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Member contributions reached RD$15,407 million, also with an increase of 25%. These results are the fruit of responsible, efficient, and strategic management, aimed at strengthening the sustainability, growth, and solidity of our collective enterprise,\u201d stated the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Lic. Ram\u00f3n Alberto Cabral.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For her part, the general manager of COOPMAIM\u00d3N, Lic. Irma Mercedes Grull\u00f3n, highlighted that the institution currently holds first place in assets among open savings and credit cooperatives in the Dominican Republic, backed by more than 9.8 million transactions carried out during the year and a team of more than 350 employees.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe support that our associates have given us since day one has allowed CoopMaim\u00f3n to achieve important institutional milestones. Today we occupy first place in assets among open savings and credit cooperatives in the Dominican Republic,\u201d expressed Grull\u00f3n.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The general manager also presented the main institutional performance indicators, highlighting a productive asset index of 98.62%, a return on equity of 13.29%, a return on assets of 8.13%, an operating ratio of 82.91%, and a net profit of 65.37%. Regarding capital and liquidity, the institution recorded a solvency of 2.57% and an availability of 62.85%.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>190,000 associates and 2,734 social impact actions<\/strong><\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During his speech, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Lic. Ram\u00f3n Alberto Cabral, highlighted that COOPMAIM\u00d3N currently has more than 190,000 members, supported by a network of 11 offices distributed across 7 provinces and the National District.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cabral also highlighted that, during 2025, the cooperative carried out 2,734 social impact actions, directly benefiting 130,875 people, through an investment of RD$163.3 million in educational, cultural, sports, environmental, health, social assistance, and community development programs.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the educational area, the institution executed more than a hundred training actions aimed at associates, leaders, collaborators, and members of the communities.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c&#8230;represent our ongoing commitment to the well-being of the people and to the sustainable development of the communities where we have a presence,\u201d expressed Cabral.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Recognition of outgoing directors and sister cooperatives<\/strong><\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the event, COOPMAIM\u00d3N held a special recognition for the outgoing directors of its governing bodies: Ram\u00f3n Antonio D\u00edaz Guzm\u00e1n, Domingo Antonio Rodr\u00edguez, Germania Santana, and Yeidy Rancel Vel\u00e1squez Mart\u00ednez, from the Board of Directors, and Jos\u00e9 Luis Salda\u00f1a, from the Supervisory Council, for their contribution during their term of office.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Likewise, the cooperative presented special recognitions to sister and allied institutions for their historical support, including Cooperativa La Altagracia, the Cooperative of Employees and Professors of the UASD (COOEPROUASD), Cooperativa San Jos\u00e9, and the Technological University of the Cibao Oriental (UTECO).<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Democratic assembly and election of new board members<\/strong><\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the assembly proceedings, led by delegate David Israel Polanco, the delegates reviewed and approved the reports from the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Council, and the Credit Committee corresponding to the 2025 fiscal year.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The day also included the election of the Electoral Commission and the new members of the cooperative&#8217;s governing bodies, who were sworn in during the same event.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A call for cooperative unity<\/strong><\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both President Cabral and General Manager Grull\u00f3n agreed to call for strengthening the unity of the cooperative movement and the principles of solidarity, mutual aid, and cooperation.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn times of great challenges, it is when we most need to stay united, strengthening the principles of solidarity, mutual aid, and cooperation that distinguish us.
