Thank God I wasn&#8217;t there at the time. Charles Cordero, 39, explained from a shelter with a cast on his leg and a bandage on his abdomen due to the impact of the earthquake, that his house has damage, initially superficial, and that he does not know when he will be able to return.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-no-sabemos-si-vamos-a-poder-regresar\">&#8220;We don&#8217;t know if we will be able to return&#8221;<\/h2>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We don&#8217;t know if we will be able to return there. We have to wait, we don&#8217;t have precise information on what they are going to do with us,&#8221; he commented.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not far from there, in the Playa del Mar residential area, the most affected zone in the municipality of Catia La Mar, Jos\u00e9 stands guard in front of his semi-collapsed building, sitting on a chair.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I am here so they don&#8217;t take anything. There is a lot of mindless vandalism,&#8221; explains this man in his 60s who laments having lost &#8220;thirty years&#8221; of his life to the earthquake.<\/p>n&#8221;\n\n&#8220;n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We still don&#8217;t know if we will be able to return.
