The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the dollar for this Thursday, July 2, as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At bank counters and other financial institutions, the dollar purchase rate stood at RD$57.76, while the selling rate reached RD$60.50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These figures represent a daily appreciation of the peso of 0.44% in the purchase and 0.10% in the sale compared to the previous day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When analyzing long-term performance, it stands out that the Dominican peso has appreciated by 7.31% in the purchase rate since the close of 2025, when the U.S. currency was trading at 61.9877 in this sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Compared to a year ago, the local currency also shows a 1.15% strengthening in the purchase rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For their part, exchange agents reported a purchase rate of RD$58.87 and a selling rate of RD$60.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this segment, the national currency recorded a daily appreciation of 0.28% in the purchase and 0.34% in the sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since the end of last year, remittance agents have reflected an accumulated appreciation of 6.80% in the purchase rate, moving from a level of 62.8770 at the close of 2025 to current values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In summary, at the end of June, the Dominican foreign exchange market shows a more favorable exchange rate for the peso compared to the levels recorded at the beginning of the year, despite slight monthly depreciations recorded in the last month (-1.43% in banks and -1.60% in agents).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
