San Juan, Puerto Rico.- <\/em><\/strong>David Collado stated that Puerto Rico has become an important source of tourists for the Dominican Republic, recording a growth of 7.7% so far this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collado also reported that last year 269,000 Puerto Rican tourists chose Quisqueya for their vacation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Every day, the Dominican Republic receives more Puerto Rican tourists, who feel at home when they visit us,”<\/em><\/strong> said Minister Collado<\/a> during a presentation before more than 200 travel agents and media outlets from Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He expressed that the effort he has made to strengthen the promotion of his country in Puerto Rico has been worth it, which is why he forecasts that by the end of this year more than 290,000 Puerto Rican tourists will visit the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collado attributed this success, among other factors, to the improvement of air connectivity between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, which he defined as two sister nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Arajet’s entry improved connectivity and price competitiveness between both countries,” <\/em><\/strong>cited as an example the so-called Minister of the Americas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of his visit to the Puerto Rican capital, Collado led a meeting with the Dominican Republic’s public-private marketing committee, where precise strategies were defined to allow more Puerto Rican tourists to visit Quisqueya.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
