The arrest was carried out by members of the Property Crimes Investigation Unit, attached to the El Ejido police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to investigations, Silverio M\u00e9ndez allegedly took advantage of the vehicle owner unloading merchandise to allegedly steal a plastic bag containing RD$1,110,000 in cash, in an incident that occurred on June 30th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The authorities indicated that the case was solved following the inquiries carried out by investigators, who managed to identify and locate the alleged suspect to execute the arrest warrant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The National Police reported that the detainee will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor&#8217;s Office, which will continue the corresponding judicial process for the alleged millionaire robbery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santiago.- National Police agents arrested a woman identified as the alleged person responsible for the theft of more than RD$1.1 million in cash, money that was reportedly stolen from inside a vehicle parked in front of a commercial establishment in the La Placita sector of this city.
