S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez<\/strong>.\u2013 The National Health Service (SNS) authorized the establishment of a medical office at the UASD Cotu\u00ed Center, which will be equipped and staffed with health personnel and supplies for the purpose of providing medical care to students, faculty, and administrative staff of the institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The director of the UASD Cotu\u00ed Center, Professor Aurelia \u00c1lvarez, reported that the campus now has the physical space where the medical office will operate and thanked the SNS for its response to the request made by the center’s management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c1lvarez explained that the unit will have two doctors, two nurses, and a psychologist, appointed by the SNS, who will provide primary care services to the university community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are immensely grateful, doctor, to your entire team for this valuable contribution, because it truly represents a very important benefit for the university community. We have students, teachers, and staff who require this service,\u201d he\/she expressed.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

During a visit to the university campus, the executive director of the SNS, Dr. Julio C\u00e9sar Landr\u00f3n, highlighted that this initiative is part of the collaboration agreement signed between the National Health Service (SNS) and the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), executed under the instructions of President Luis Abinader, as part of the support that the Government provides to higher education centers to strengthen academic development and guarantee the well-being of the university community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Landr\u00f3n explained that the SNS will guarantee the necessary healthcare support so that students, teachers, and collaborators receive health care without the need to travel to a hospital for basic consultations or primary care services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are committed to enabling this space in the coming days so that it can begin its services for the benefit of the entire university community,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, he announced that the health professionals who will provide services at the clinic will be appointed this very week, with the goal of putting the unit into operation in the shortest time possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The director of the UASD Cotu\u00ed Center valued the support received from the SNS and highlighted the management carried out by Dr. Landr\u00f3n at the head of the institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
