San Pedro de Macor\u00eds.<\/strong>– Mrs. Santa Rubere de la Rosa, mother of a young man who died after being struck in a traffic accident, reported that she has encountered obstacles in accessing security camera footage that, she claims, could help identify the person responsible for the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the traffic report from the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Safety (Digesett), the accident occurred on the night of June 25, 2026<\/strong>, on Dom\u00ednguez Charro<\/strong> street, near the San Pedro de Macor\u00eds City Hall. The document states that Julio Antonio Rubere was traveling on a motorcycle when he was struck by a vehicle whose details remain unknown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victim passed away three days later, on June 28<\/strong>, as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a video shared on social media, the young man’s mother claimed that when she tried to check the footage from a surveillance camera located in the vicinity of the accident site, the property owner, whom she identified as a police officer, hindered access to the material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to their account, they were initially informed that the surveillance system mouse was damaged, so the family provided one in order to review the recordings. However, they later claim they were told that the videos corresponding to the date of the accident were no longer available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I want justice to be served because something is moving. I want the person responsible for my son’s death to be found, so that it does not go unpunished,” she expressed through tears.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The woman stated that, according to reports she has received, the vehicle involved was a Mercedes-Benz<\/strong> driven by a woman, who allegedly fled the scene after hitting the motorcyclist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far, the authorities have not reported on the identification of the vehicle or the person who may have caused the <\/a>accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mother asked the authorities to deepen the investigation to clarify the case and determine responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“She hit my son and left him as if he were a dog. My son was not a dog. I want the person responsible for his death to appear,” she stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
