They argue that this location lacks adequate conditions to operate due to insecurity issues and the presence of illicit activities that would affect both the merchants and their customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The legal representative reported that the case remains in court through an injunction for suspension, the hearing for which has been postponed on several occasions. Following the demolition, he announced that they will file new legal actions with the purpose of establishing liability and claiming compensation for the damages caused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conflict arises within the framework of the construction of the Barahona tourist port, a project considered strategic for strengthening the economic and tourism development of the Southern region.
