The sequence, captured by citizens traveling along the same road, shows the erratic and dizzying movement of a semi-truck loaded with heavy cement blocks.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>The distressing footage documents how the heavy vehicle was descending at high speed, evidencing an imminent brake failure that forced witnesses to keep a safe distance<\/strong> while foreseeing the fatal outcome that would shake the department of La Paz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to preliminary accounts gathered at the scene and testimonies from those who witnessed the event, the driver of the heavy-duty vehicle made a desperate decision in a split second<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>Faced with the impossibility of stopping the vehicle and in order to avoid a tragedy of even greater proportions, such as directly crashing into a line of private vehicles or running over a crowd of people waiting for public transport at the nearby bus stop, the driver performed a violent maneuver to crash the structure into one of the central pillars of the Comalapa bridge<\/strong>, on the section leading towards San Luis Talpa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The impact against the concrete base was of devastating magnitude. The truck’s cab was completely destroyed and, due to the abrupt deceleration, the massive load of cement blocks<\/strong> was launched into the air, scattering across the highway and falling directly onto the lower area of the road infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Identities of the deceased and the miraculous rescue of a survivor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Emergency teams, relief agencies, and public security officers immediately deployed to the scene of the incident, beginning a race against time that lasted for several hours. Amidst the twisted metal and destroyed blocks, rescuers managed to recover the lifeless bodies of the victims.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experts continue to carry out the corresponding technical and mechanical analyses<\/strong> at the scene to determine with absolute scientific certainty whether the accident was due exclusively to an unforeseeable mechanical failure in the braking system or if the driver was driving at excessive speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
