Saman\u00e1<\/strong>.\u2013 President Luis Abinader<\/strong> held a meeting this Saturday with young students<\/strong> from different municipalities of the Saman\u00e1 province<\/strong>, whom he listened to attentively to learn firsthand about their concerns<\/strong> and continue strengthening the conditions<\/strong> of the educational system in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the discussion, the head of State reiterated the Government’s commitment to continue promoting quality, inclusive education with greater opportunities<\/strong> for all. In addition, he verified the operation of the School Feeding and National Student Transportation System<\/strong> (TRAE) programs, initiatives that contribute to guaranteeing students’ retention in the classrooms, reducing school dropout rates, and providing better conditions<\/strong> for learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, he encouraged young people to research and apply to the Beca tu Futuro<\/strong> program, highlighting that this initiative represents an opportunity to continue their professional training<\/strong> and expand their development possibilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another topic addressed was the importance of learning the English language<\/strong> as a tool that opens doors to better jobs and higher incomes,<\/strong> especially in a province with significant tourism development like Saman\u00e1.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, he recalled that the Government is advancing in the construction of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) campus<\/strong> in the province, which will allow hundreds of young people to pursue higher education without having to travel to other locations, reducing costs<\/strong> for families and expanding access<\/strong> to university education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, the Minister of Education, Luis Miguel De Camps, assured that the Government is paying special attention to the strengthening of educational infrastructure so that students can develop their learning processes in adequate and safe<\/a> spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that work is also being done on the expansion of educational centers to incorporate new classrooms into the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are, as the great team that we are, attentive and acting in that direction,\u201d he expressed.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In response to the needs of the area, he announced that this Sunday, July 12, a new school will be delivered in the municipality of Las Terrenas, as well as the roofing for the Jos\u00e9 Gabriel Garc\u00eda Primary School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, he reported that some 320 laboratories in different areas of knowledge are in the process of being equipped, with the purpose of strengthening the practical training of students and responding to the demands of the labor market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scholarships to boost young talent<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another announcement received with great joy by the students was the granting of study scholarships<\/strong> at the Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Las Am\u00e9ricas (ITLA),<\/strong> with the aim of supporting their academic training and bringing them closer to technological education opportunities.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
