On the night of this Sunday, 07-12-2026, we were informed about a regrettable incident that occurred in the municipal district of Las Gordas, specifically in the community of Mata Bonita, Nagua municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to information provided to Chilote Torres Informa, a man identified only as To\u00f1o, son of Minta and a well-known farmer in the community, allegedly passed away due to drowning in a canal located near the local National Police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to accounts provided by people who were at the scene, the man allegedly entered the canal while under the influence of alcohol and, presumably, suffered a blow to the head, which would have led to the tragic outcome. This information is preliminary and pending confirmation by the authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
