The Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister<\/strong>, Yulia Sviridenko<\/strong>, officially submitted her resignation<\/strong> this Tuesday with the agreement of Parliament, as part of a government reshuffle<\/strong> ordered by President Volodymyr Zelensky.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>Announced on Sunday as part of a “change in political strategy<\/strong>“, this cabinet reshuffle takes place without the new head of government being known yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe resolution\u201d to approve Sviridenko\u2019s resignation \u201cwas adopted,\u201d<\/strong> as announced by the Ukrainian Parliament on its website.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThanks to everyone for your support. It was an honor to work for Ukraine\u201d<\/strong>, Sviridenko posted on social media, along with a photo of her in Parliament making a heart with her hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In another message, the politician defended her record, highlighting the management of the energy crisis<\/strong> during the last winter -despite the damage to infrastructure caused by Russian bombing<\/strong>– and the progress in economic matters.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Appointed to the position in July 2025, Sviridenko maintained good relations with U.S. officials. She negotiated a mineral investment agreement<\/strong> with Washington following President Donald Trump’s confrontation with Zelensky in the Oval Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government reshuffle comes at a decisive moment in the war with Russia<\/strong>, which has already lasted more than four years, with Moscow intensifying its campaign of ballistic missile attacks<\/strong> and with Kyiv planning to produce US-designed Patriot<\/strong> air defense systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zelensky thanked Sviridenko on Sunday for her work, stating that he had offered her to \u201clead a new and important area of relations with a key partner,\u201d without providing further details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The position of prime minister does not usually entail powers regarding military strategy or front-line operations, areas in which the president and their military commanders make the decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
